I'm still at it, Ken ... trying to keep the bills paid! :) I've been posting reviews in the Autobytel channel - Chevy Cruze Diesel, Impala, BMW 335 xdrive, Chrysler 200 convertible are all up. Hyundai Sonata Hybrid and Honda Civic Hybrid will be posted soon. Doing a lot of media first drive events too, 2014 Spark EV, 2014 Fiesta, Hyundai Equus, Audi TDI ...
I will continue to post stuff here in the MPGomatic channel. Working on the first pilot episode of Ain't Fuelin' .. stay tuned!

Not really.. Because hybrids start acceleration usIng electricity and getting the car in motion from a standstill is a big reason for the better city mpg ( where gas is used the most, watch your realtime gas gauge). I think diesel hybrids are coming.. Volvo has a plug in diesel hybrid they showed off before and Audi used those tdi hybrids in lemans. I'll buy a tdi hybrid whenever

Hybrids only have an advantage in the city bc the engine shuts off when the car is stopped. once they start adding engine shut-off technology to diesel cars, the advantage disappears. The start-stop tech costs $500 extra bucks per car but is the biggest reason for the hybrid fuel efficiency.Once they put it in nonhybrid cars, hybrid car sales (AND PROFITS) will disappear.

If you do lots of highway driving... And travel great distances. A hybrid would be better around town like a insight/prius/cmax. Mpgomatic got 47 hwy with the tdi and 50mpg hwy with a honda insight (cheaper and more fun than a prius)....Or even maybe a cheaper gasoline city car like a fit, sonic, fiesta.

Hey guys, do NOT bother yourself and DO NOT buy any diesel engine powered Volkswagen. WHY ? Look on owners manual page 242 and read --->
" Bio-diesel with a higher concentration than 5% like B11, B20 or B100 are strictly prohibited." And now, you are NOT ABLE to buy diesel #2 anywhere, at least on Midwest..
If you buy and ride on biodiesel your warranty will be voided.
VW does not care, they will not give you any pinch of idea where to buy diesel #2
I'LL NEVER EVER BUY VW DIESEL AGAIN.

This looks interesting. I've had an interest in the TDI, and I hope to look into some decent used Golfs in the future.

The problem is that they are not that fuel efficient.

Very cool. So the electric works out to roughly $1.50+ for a 40 mile charge? One day I hope to cover the roof of my house with solar cells and drive for free.

That's great stuff, DZ302XRAM. I'd be happy to publish a report on that. Some questions ... How many miles do you have on your Volt, so far? How much does each 40 MPG charge cost in your location? What do you project your total cost of ownership to be over five years? What vehicle did you trade in on the Volt?

nice job showing how little you know about motorcycles. Leaning is only half the process, dumbass. The rest is throttle control. One would assume thats implied, but I see you dont know much about this. I can take corners to the limits of speed and grip, and when you do that, you WILL slide out your tire. This is normal, even at GP and WSB levels. You keep calling me a squid, yet in your previous comment you were making fun of chicken strips...Its either chicken strips or a squid. Get real son

Hang off motogp style???? So... leaning off slides the rear tire does it? You're a definite squid

i got less than half an inch on the right, and none on the left. Not bad for 100% city and highway riding, so dont waste your time trying to hurt my feelings. In fact, I consider myself well above average. Unlike the posers, i lean off my bike, motogp style, so hard in fact that i'm used to sliding my rear tire. And as for being a squid, i'm seemingly the only person in my city who wears a jacket. I dont even have a pipe, i dont rev my engine, dont filter, and dont stunt. Dont even bother, dude

You mean a SPORTBIKE. I am sure it has massive chicken strips and a major squid strip
