They said what's up guys hey so kiyah stinger update I know a lot of people have been looking for content here's our update the ECU inside the kid stinger has been beating me up I've got about 200 hours of tuning time on the car now.

I think we're somewhere around 300 dyno poles and I have not been able to break the 450 horsepower barrier reason man is we don't have real good information for the ECU not a lot of tuning Maps not a lot of information out there but made a couple friends in Korea this week and it looks like we'll be getting an a 2l file or a super matte pack let me touch on a couple things write an a2 L found a 205.

Is what is that is a file you get that has all the information inside the ECU and lists all the maps all the fuel tuning timing ignition he kind of does everything the engineering file that we're looking to get is gonna map out that map out the ECU for me now what's that mean I find out that you see you means I'm gonna be able to get further into the ECU I'm gonna be able to see.

Where the roadblocks are we're running now stage there on stage 1 tunes are fantastic and we map those pretty well we got all the information that we needed but now I want to make the car fast I want to make a car fast in the quarter mile it was people like 12:1 is a fastener for you know 21 is not fast enough this is saying run tens now won't run.

Tens on the stock turbos I don't think it'll run tens on the stock turbos but we want it to be fast I want this thing competing with the Julie I wanted competing with AMG black I want this thing running 11 seconds one run 11 seconds within takes inner core candidly and factory turbos this ECU is stopping us from me nobody get there now what's that mean.

That means we're gonna have a stage one five ready hopefully I'm not going to give any promises but I'm hoping for the end of July stage 1.5 with cat deletes intakes and front mount should be somewhere in the air about 450 to 475 horsepower and we're really really hoping that we'll be able to break into the 11 second quarter Mon the biggest thing that I'm excited about in this.

File we're getting from our Korea partners is we are going to be getting the ability to tune big turbos Victorville is going to kind of unlock the gates for me and big turbos are gonna be we can move forward with more boost more power transmission control this is going to be something else that we get launch control I haven't even had an opportunity to look at that.

Launch Patrol maybe tied up in that I need to see what we're getting so the update for you guys is more tunings coming we've been really lacks on getting the information out to you guys to them and spending time inside to the CCU I said they're got about 200 hours wrapped up in dyno tuning 300 dyno poles we've been capped it to 425 to 450 horsepower mark we need to get around.

That Cap'n that's gonna take money and Friends thankfully I made a couple friends are gonna be able to get us some information but I do want to share with you right now know over booze coats from the cat elites that's huge we were struggling with that on the stock to the second thing we have managed to crack the cat delete codes for the check engine light so no more.

Check engine lights for cat delete so now you guys haven't had an opportunity to see the tune of the cat deletes yet so enjoy all right so hopefully you enjoyed that if you did share like and subscribe and.

If you got any questions guys answer the questions inside the video down below I want to hear your comments I want to hear what you have to say I want to see if I miss something so please let us know if we're doing everything that you want and we'll make sure that we do in every episode get you all the content that you need thanks again guys .

Hi how many miles do you have , And do you think trans and engine are capable of long term hard driving ?

Tork Motorsports • 3 месяца назад
7k, yes... I think that the transmission was overbuilt for long term heavy abuse driving.

Honestly what I would LOVE is if there was a way to have a fun tune when set on comfort mode with a similar to stock exhaust, then when you switch to sport mode, it opens the exhaust and adjusts the tune and off you go. I love the quietness of comfort mode when just commuting.

+Tork Motorsports Well I will keep an eye out for when you nail down start stop on the AWD. For now I will focus on basic parts like CAI and BOV, maybe an exhaust, dont want to go too nuts until I have a tune ready to go.

+Cameron Woody start stop we have figured out on the RWD car, not so much on the AWD car. They keep moving stuff around inside the ECU which is making it very frustrating to work with.
As far as the others guys building parts for the car, we have held off on releasing any products because we feel that proper tuning is needed to take advantage of the current set up. If we can run 11 seconds in the 1/4 mile with a good tune, on a stock car... then, more work will be needed to be done inside the ECU for the upgraded parts to run even faster.
Lots of work ahead of us, but we are hammering away at the ECU to get it mapped and start pushing the Stinger deeper into the 1/4 mile data base :)

+Tork Motorsports They are building an EVC setup, it's listed on their website. When it will be done, who knows.
All great points, hopefully you guys can fine tune all of that in the near future and also find that pesky start/stop code and get rid of that lol. Once those are ironed out I will be very interested in ordering.

+Cameron Woody I have no idea what SSR has planned at this point.
Everyone wants more boost and launch control, we are already starting to loose traction on dry roads with the AWD cars, lol. We do have plans on bringing in the power more aggressive with the AWD cars and hope to see some 3.3 second 0 to 60 MPH times. We have to take into consideration that the car is 4000 lbs, and the fact being that we are already in the 3.8 second range for our 0 to 60 MPH results.. is amazing.

+Tork Motorsports You guys plan on building an EVC exhaust? Or would you just tune it with a different manufacturers exhaust? I know SSR has their EVC coming out at some point. Would you guys need the car on site or just the ECU? Already planning on buying a separate ECU with tune from you guys, just waiting to figure out exhaust, see if you guys find how to shut off auto start/stop and adjust launch control to build boost correctly and launch at a higher RPM.

Hey I am buying a stinger gt tomorrow. I cannot delete cats as I live in an emissions controlled county and I do not want really loud exhaust. I am ok to run 93 gas. What kind of power should I see from your tune, cai and a very mild exhaust(again want the least loud out of your choices)? Thank you! Will visit your website for the Parts after your recommendations. I appreciate it

Love your videos on the stinger! Just a quick question, when you picked up the vehicle did you break in the engine? If so was it what the manual stated or did you do a special way? Thanks

Crazy question..... How did you get your stinger to break loose without everything shutting it down?

I have a 2018 GT rear wheel drive and can't get it to break loose for nothing! LOL. It looks like I'm going to have to get your tune, will it break loose then?

With enough power and not letting it shift to second gear, it will not shit down power wise.

Because you know, the peoples doing cars, working decades in this field on numeral reknowned projects and fine tuning the engine to pass regulation AND reliability tests are all loosers. So, please, have total confidence in the old man sitting in a parking lot on the bonnet of his Kia Stinger. He probably knows how to do a better job.

Bob Outélama there is always safe power to be gained by dyno tuning an oem motor. Manufacturers are extra cautious when adjusting ECM tuning knowing people will often put low grade fuel in a performance car even though it calls for 93 or 94 octane. Things can be improved a good amount like part throttle drivability, fuel economy and horsepower when tuning for specifically for 93/94 or E85.
Hell, the aftermarket tuning houses were able to correct a bad factory tune in the Subaru WRX turbo engines. A lot of owners were blowing up bonestock engines, with my brother’s new WRx grenading at 2500 miles. Subaru definitely dropped the ball with their factory ecm tuning of the turbo four.
I’ve been modding cars since 1982. Things have changed a lot with engine tuning and the internet. So much knowledge can be gained from going on ecm/pcm/tcm tuning forums, purchasing tuning guides or going to online tuning academies. There’s a lot of great tuning suites like HP tuners, EFI live etc. There are a lot of great tuners around the country that would embarrass oem manufacturer’s tuning “experts”, especially on very high hp builds.

How can you do the burnouts in the Kia stinger?

I’m impressed with the Stinger but I still can’t get over the fact they use to offer b1g1 on their cars.
Still amazing that a tune would produce that much horsepower, I assume they built it to perform much better than stock and just tuned it down to reduce warranty and longevity issues.
